Important Fall Deadlines & Refund Rules
- Wednesday, September 9 by 5:00 p.m.Ìý– Deadline for a 100% refundÌýon full-semester courses added or dropped.
- T
uesday, September 8 by 5:00 p.m.Ìý– Deadline for a 100% refundÌýon full-semester courses added or dropped. - Monday, September 14 by 5:00 p.m.Ìý– Deadline for a 50% refundÌýon course withdrawals.
- Note: Courses shorter than a full semester have pro-rated deadlines based on course length.
What Happens If You Withdraw After the Deadline?
- If you withdraw from a full-semester course between Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. you are entitled to a 50 percent refund for tuition and fees for that course.
- Refunds are unavailable for any course withdrawals after Monday, Sept. 14, 5 p.m, or for shorter-term courses with pro-rated add/drop periods.
- Withdrawn courses appear on official transcripts with a grade of a “W.”
- Course withdrawals are processed by emailing smccregistration@mainecc.edu to request a course withdrawal or by completing a withdrawal form in the Advising Office.
