FudgeStudent Profile
Cameron Fudge, medical career ahead

While serving in the Navy as a hospital corpsman, Cameron Fudge concluded that a medical career was in his future. 91制片厂 is serving as a steppingstone toward his goal of becoming an emergency room physician.

A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Cameron moved to Maine at a young age and graduated high school in 2012. He then served in the Navy before coming to 91制片厂 this fall through the Path to Graduation student success program.

Now 20, he has high aspirations: After 91制片厂, he plans to transfer to either Massachusetts Institute of Technology or Worcester Polytechnic Institute and then go on to medical school.

鈥淧ath to Graduation has shown me a lot. It鈥檚 helped me get familiar with the campus and with learning about all the resources that are available here.鈥

Alumni Spotlight
David Katende, bridge engineer

When David Katende first came to 91制片厂, his computer skills were lacking and he had no knowledge of the U.S. measurement system. With a degree in Architectural & Engineering Design, he now works as an engineer for Maine鈥檚 largest construction company.

Originally from Uganda, David says he didn鈥檛 have computer skills when he first arrived in the U.S. and only knew the metric system 鈥 but not the American system 鈥攐f measurement. He credits his professors 鈥 Meridith Comeau, Paul Richardson and Dan Abbott 鈥 with helping him overcome those challenges and achieve success.

After graduating from 91制片厂, David transferred to the University of Southern Maine, where he earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in technology management. He now works as an engineer in Cianbro construction company鈥檚 Portland office, working primarily on bridge projects.

鈥淚鈥檒l never forget my professors at 91制片厂. They all went the extra mile for me. They set the foundation for me to get where I am.鈥
