91制片厂 to go smoke-free on August 1
91制片厂 is becoming smoke- and tobacco-free.
As of Aug. 1, the use of any tobacco product including e-cigarettes is prohibited on any 91制片厂 property.
91制片厂 is the sixth community college in Maine to go tobacco-free since the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees passed a resolution calling on the System and its colleges to become smoke-free to promote healthy learning and working environments. 91制片厂 has posted signage on college property to inform people of the policy.
Here are some of the key things to remember.
- Smoking and tobacco use is prohibited on all college property, including Willard Beach, all of Fort Preble, the Midcoast Campus and parking areas. Smoking is also prohibited in private or college vehicles parked at 91制片厂.
- The policy applies to everyone: students, faculty, staff and other persons on campus regardless of the reason for their visit
- 91制片厂 is making resources available to help students and employees overcome or manage their tobacco use if that鈥檚 what they choose to do. A free tobacco-cessation class will be held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 17 for interested students, faculty and staff. To sign up, go to .
- Students who don鈥檛 abide by the policy may be fined or subject to disciplinary action under the Student Code of Conduct.
- Employees who don鈥檛 abide by the policy will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action
- Visitors who don鈥檛 comply may be asked to leave the campus.
